Weekly Round Up Part 2
 The News
1) Charlotte Free's music career

Charlotte Free is a model with an impressive CV to say the least. She recently became one of ASOS' Christmas campaign stars alongside Azealia Banks and Ellie Goulding, She's the current face of Maybelline and  she opened Vivienne Westwood's AW11/12 Red Label show.
Now the Model is all set to embrace the music world:
"I've been making electronic music in my head for as long as I can remember," says Charlotte, "I'm not ever going to function in a real job, I've always known that."
Keep your eyes (should I say ears?) peeled.

2) Matthew Williamson

The famous designer has made a short film about himself to celebrate fifteen years in the industry. Although put like that it sounds almost self absorbed, the main attitude surrounding the film seems to be about believing in oneself and persevering with ones dreams.
When asked what he might tell his fifteen year old self now, Williamson responded with this,
"Confidence and belief in yourself and your vision is absolutely paramount. The fashion industry is tough - be prepared to take advice and criticism along the way, but have unwavering belief in your vision,"
The video will be launched online at Net-A-Porter next week.

3) Jessica Biel ties the knot with Justin Timberlake in Valli

*sob* Justin Timberlake is officially off the market! However, I think I can forgive Jessica Biel for her part to play in this, simply because of the gorgeous gown she wore for the occasion. Apparently the designer and the bride have always been friends and supported each others' work.
"I could not be more proud that she walked down the aisle in Italy, my own country, wearing Giambattista Valli," said the designer.
Can I get an "Aw"?

I'm going to leave it there today folks, as I feel three is probably the best number of stories to cover. However I'd be interested to know if you'd prefer 3 stories every week, 3 fortnightly, or 5 fortnightly? Please leave a comment and get back to me, I love hearing your suggestions and criticisms!

Hi everyone:-)
Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend, I've been quite busy! I babysat on Friday from 5-7, then went to a party (I would show you my outfit but I literally chose it five minutes before I went and it's not particularly worth showing!). Saturday I spent recovering (aka catching up on homeland in bed) until the evening when I was babysitting again. The only exciting thing about that was that I saw a shooting star whilst walking home at 2am. Are you supposed to wish on shooting stars? Because if you are then I forgot, but to be fair I was sort of walk/jogging as walking on your own at that time is a little scary and wasn't really thinking about wishes, stars etc. It was a really beautiful night though!
Enough of my top notch astrology though, here's a few photos from my weekend, including two outfits I wore and some very awkward, lame poses (sorry).

Chanel's Little Black Jacket-highstreet copies

With the Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition opening earlier this week (further details here), I thought it was only right that I hunted down the best look-a-likes from the highstreet and showcased them here. Although finding an exact replica of the iconic garment is up there on the unlikely scale with being eaten by a crocodile on leaving your front door today, revisiting this eminent Chanel piece has caused the highstreet to begin stocking jackets in similar styles to the original, but with more variation, such as in the stitching and colouring.
Here are my favourites:

Weekly round up: part 2
This is the more substantial part to my Friday weekly round  up I suppose. If you're one for the pretty pictures and not the text this post probably won't take your fancy. However if you want to know 5 of the top stories in fashion this week, keep reading because there are some right goodens' I can tell you!

1) Kate and Cheryl

It has emerged this week, via Cheryl's autobiography, that the Duchess Of Cambridge dressed up as Cheryl in a bodysuit and split trousers on her hen night and performed 'Fight For This Love'. Apparently William told Cheryl this after her performance earlier this year at the Jubilee Concert. This delicious little bit of gossip is definitely a positive (in my opinion) for both of the beautiful ladies. It shows that the lovely Cheryl is still very much a national sweetheart, adored by all. Add this to the naked Harry business and topless Kate on holiday (quite a bit more outrageous but none the less amusing), and all of a sudden it seems the latest generation of Royals are fun, genuine and even more respectable because of it!

2) Chanel's Little Black Jacket exhibition

Chanel opened it's Little Black Jacket exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London today! The notorious Karl Lagerfeld took all of the images (there is over 100, spread throughout four rooms) and used his favourite Iconic Chanel faces, as well as a few unsuspecting ones too.
The exhibition is open until the 28th of October and admission is free.

3) Alexa on the Chanel Hula Hoop bag

Alexa Chung receives a personalised Chanel Hula hoop beach bag live on the Anderson show. I love what she has to say about this piece. Watch it here.

4) Alexa Chung's book

Alexa has squashed rumours that her book will be a "style bible" in which she will dictate what people should wear and how they should wear it.
"It's basically a compendium of drawings and photographs, and I'm going to write about a bunch of stuff," says Chung. "It's not like a style bible - which I keep reading it being reported as."
The book is set to hit the shops next September.

5)Well Dunn with Jordan Dunn

Model Jordan Dunn is set to have her own cooking show on Jay-Z's Youtube entertainment channel, Life and Times. As you may have guessed, it's title is to be "Well Dunn with Jordan Dunn", and I admit I had a little giggle in response. The Channel is to be launched this weekend and will touch on areas such as food, fashion, music and architecture.
It's great to see models expanding their horizons and showing off their skills and talents in other areas of life besides appearance. After following Dunn on twitter for a while, I personally have taken a strong liking to her and her fun, down to earth vibe which her and her best friend Cara Develingne exude.

Weekly round up: part 1
Happy Friday everybody! Here's a weeks worth of sensational street style snaps and inspirational images to get you in that autumn mood. You know, the one where walking through your door is the best feeling because the warmth hits you like a big hug, where your outfit has kept you cosy and warm and you're ready for a toasty hot chocolate. NOT the one where the wind and rain have ruined your hair/make-up, you've forgotten what it's like to be warm and you want to assassinate every spider that enters your home looking for warmth!
